review 1: I started this series with this book. The story kept me engaged although there were a just a few parts that seemed dragged out. I do plan to read the first two books. My initial thought is why have Daisy with no powers; what can she do that someone else can't do. My conclusion as I read the book further is her knowledge and understanding of the eldritch community, as well as the rest of town and it citizens, is what makes her the right person.
review 2: I liked it. The pacing is similar to the Autumn Bones, which I think I judged it too harshly. It still seems strange to me, almost like two short stories stitched together the first fluffed up with social drama and bits of foreshadowing for the second, and then the second which has the bigger and more epic
... more supernatural elements. I'm saddened to find out that this is the end of the series, I think it could have gone on further. I didn't realize it when I read it, though I did think she wrapped up a few to many plot lines a bit to suddenly and a bit to neatly. Maybe she will write more later, maybe short stories if nothing else. I could really go for a prequel novella which explains how Daisy entered Hel's service. less

The best of the Agent of Hel books, but not nearly as good as the Terre d'Ange books.

Another exciting entry nicely preformed by Johanna Parker -
