review 1: In my opinion this is a great book that will appeal to many, it is one of many addictive books by Jacqueline Wilson. Diamond is a young girl that ends up in a circus but the events that happen from that point in the story are interesting. It intrigued me quite a lot as to whether this was based on true things that Jacqueline Wilson had experienced and seen herself, or whether it was just fictional entirely. The language used and events that appear are not very complicated and is easy to understand , this would help younger readers to follow events without confusion. It shows a friendship and demonstrates that having a friend can make life happier. I would say this is targeted at girls which is understandable. I really enjoyed it, so a follow up would be wel... morecome!
review 2: I loved this series and can't wait until my granddaughter is old enough to read all about Hetty Feather adventures! Its great for kids ages 9 and up , really great for any age. This book is more about Diamond whom Hetty meets and protects from Mister the evil man that bought her from her father to work in the circus , Hetty stands up for her and others against all unfairness. I would love to read more about Diamond and Hetty , the other charaters as well. Did Jem fall in love with Hettys friend or is he still in love with Hetty?? How does the meeting up with Hettys sweetheart Berti go when her and Diamond go to where is working in his dream jobs as an actor Flirty Berti?? Who is Hetty true sweetheart?? What become of Diamonds sister and brothers and her stupid heartless father ?? Is there a chance for or is there more books about Hetty and Diamond?? Awesome books , loved them all :) less
