review 1: Another above average crime drama. A tough cop tracks down a killer and has to deal with dirty cops, an apathetic, unhelpful bureaucracy, bad luck and a killer who's good at keeping his tracks clean. What makes the story better than most is that the killers main target is someone who is difficult to relate too. She's rich, bitchy, high maintenance and personally I think she might have it coming.....You won't know what actually happens until the end of the book.
review 2: Really great mystery/thriller, especially if you're like me and also love the drama that unfolds on HNN. Obviously a very fictional story based upon a true-life case and trial, this is really entertaining reading at it's best. This is the first of the entire Jack series that I've read, and if
... more the character is this strong twenty books in, I'm interested to go back and start at the beginning with the others. less
