review 1: NYPD Red the elite NYPD division set up to investigate murders of the elite NYC residents and visitors alike has its hands full with the Hazmat killer. Det. Zach Jordan is on his toes but his partner Kylie MacDonald has her hands full with work and the ever increasing drug habit of her husband, Spence.Very intense investigation and it comes full circle back to the first crime scene. I won't go into details cause I don't want to spoil it for anyone but well worth the read. I hope that there will be a 3rd soon.
review 2: I liked this book as much as the first entry in the series. It’s refreshing to read about characters that aren’t burdened by tragic pasts or beset by debilitating problems. Zach Jordan and Kylie McDonald are almost normal. They are ex-lov
... moreers but neither one is trying to re-connect with the other on a romantic level. They are two of the ‘truest’ detective partners I’ve ever encountered. The story is filled with twists and turns and even a few of the kind of curves that make caper novels so entertaining. Only in this book, those curves are anything but lighthearted. Patterson and Karp played fair with their clues, not pulling a surprise out of their writer’s hat near the end.I hope there will be more NYPD Red novels because I want to read more about Jordan and McDonald. less

The first one was much better but I still enjoyed it. Seemed a bit rushed at the end

A solid thriller, but lacking the riveting reading exoerience of the Cross novels.

Of course it's good, it's Patterson! The book grabs you and doesn't let go.
