review 1: An excellent, creepy new take on Earth 2, one of the most interesting concepts created by DC Comics on its Silver Age. Robinson (Starman) starts with a BANG! (no spoilers) right in the first pages and then proceeds calmly (but with a fast pace) to introduce us to old characters, entirely revamped in a very interesting fashion, like a gender-swapped Red Tornado and a gay Green Lantern, making this one of the most exciting and well-written titles of the New 52 series.
review 2: The New 52 keeps surprising me - this time it pulls out all the stops, re-inventing classic heroes and giving them slightly different origins and manifestations - it is Earth 2 after all, so there will be some differences. Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Flash, and Captain Atom are united in a w... moreorld without heroes (all dead in the Apokolips War) to take on a new threat - Grundy. Very good read, check it out. less
