review 1: Jami Alden’s Hide from Evil is the perfect follow up to Beg for Mercy. Where most follow up series books start from scratch, Hide from Evil actually picks up where Beg for Mercy leaves off. King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Krista Slater feels guilty over her successful prosecution of Sean Flynn in the murder of Evangeline Gordon. After having spent two years on Death Row for Gordon’s murder Sean is finally free and simply wants to move on with his life. However Krista is not ready to let this case go as she questions why this innocent man was wrongfully convicted. There is no one better to help her on this quest than Sean himself. review 2: Although I didn't think Hide From Evil was as good as its predecessor, Beg For Mercy, I thought it was a solid follow up. Beg For Mercy was gritty, filled with edge-of-your-seat suspense, and kept you guessing up until the end. Hide From Evil was much different because there was not really any mystery as far as who was behind everything. While I think this installment lacked some of the magic both in romance and suspense that Beg For Mercy captivated me with, I still think Jami Alden did a good job with the story. I am very excited for the final installment in the trilogy to come out! less
