review 1: Great suspense. Nice romance but dropped a star because of Talia. She seemed a bit too ungrateful for everything Jack did for her. I understand her past and all she went thru but her belief that Jack would try to control her like David Maxwell, annoyed me when Jack has done nothing but protect her and her sister.The suspense was spot on but I felt the killer died too easily. I wanted to see him realize he failed. Still a good book but the heroine took it down a star for me.
review 2: I had a hard time with this one, mostly because Talia was the heroine, something I had an issue with as she purposely lied in the first book. In the second book she did come around, but I still never warmed up to her. I get that bad things happened to her, but she did bad things ... moretoo. I felt bad that Jack had a crush on Talia, I thought he could do better. I guess this one ended good, but since I didn't care for Talia I really didn't care that she got an HEA. less
