review 1: I’m a huge Jane Green fan so I am probably biased about this novel. I did enjoy it. She manages to combine a lot of interesting plot lines into her books and many times some surprises you were not expecting. This is one of her older books (2009). I, like some of the other reviewers, found the insertion of British words (e.g., carpark) a little confusing as this book takes place in Connecticut and, with the exception of a couple of characters, everyone is American but that is really a small detail.
review 2: Kind of crazy, I liked this book but I didn't like this book. There's nothing really wrong with the story, although I'd question how consequences fall out for some, but the POV and how the storyline is told and unfolds, I just didn't care for. Nope ... morenot at all. If you decide to read it, hope you enjoy it, but I'm going to stop short of recommending it because it just didn't cut it for this reader. less
