review 1: Not often do I give a 5 star, however, these stories have enthralled and captivated me for days. I never read a story that comes in parts until I have all the parts as i cannot bear to come to the end of a story and have to wait months until the next part of the story. Reading these stories together have been amazing.At the end of 'The Education of Sebastian', I was in tears and my throat was very raw. I was moved and heart broken by the story of Sebastian and Caroline. This story is on such a sensitive, and at times I guess taboo subject, but it was told (written) so beautifully.Of course I started immediately on 'The Education of Caroline'. My emotions were on a roller coaster ride again. I could almost feel the hurt between Sebastian and Caroline when the met agai... moren. And when they went on their road trip through Italy I could almost taste the scenery. I made a mental note "must go to Italy".As for the story telling of being in Afghanistan, while I didn't really want to be there, I couldn't help but feel that I was. Wow! That was powerful.I loved the ending. I only read 'happily ever after stories' there is too much of the other stuff happening around me for real.I have become addicted to Jane Harvey-Berrick, you have captured my imagination and emotions.
review 2: Sometimes you read a book and think wow, this is not just a wow, this book will stay with me for a long time.Seb and Caroline's story will have you going through so many emotions, from madness to crying. Their story is so romantic, showing you how love can conquer so much.Jane Harvey-Berrick not only pulls you into the book she keeps you there till the very end, the way she writes the story is amazing.5 stars does not seem right for this really great book.
