review 1: Being the last one of the series I'll just revise here.I liked these books and at the same time i totally didn't.I have no clue how old these kids were supposed to be, but I understood they were supposed to be kids, and that totally didn't hit home for me.The language they used was old and way to stiff for young children even with the whole post apocalyptic scene happening it just went a little to far for me. Just a tiny amount of appropriate vocabulary for children/Youngsters would have suited the story better if you ask me.The characters, I don't know, I didn't 'feel' them .. I missed a lot in the story when it came down to the characters but on the other side I did like the story. It was surely a hell of a lot better than i first expected to be h... moreonest
review 2: Wow. I really wish I had read this book sooner. I have been anticipating this book for a while, so when I began it, I was excited. I am very happy with it. It was very well written, and held a few parts in particular that I have favorites. I loved that Liza spent more time in the Realm, but I really liked that more Faerie characters were introduced, and that we got to learn more about the Faeries, like where their gifts came from, and about the First Tree. I also liked that Liza left her body and traveled in shadow form a few times. My favorite was the ending. All of it. I was amazed and filled with wonder at the images in my mind. I actually had tears leaking from my eyes a few times while reading this. Twice at least. Once from sadness and amazement at which a show of love and sacrifice, and the other out of both sadness from a reminder of that past sacrifice, and also from joy. The ending was perfect. I never would have imagined it, but it couldn't have been better any other way. This was one of those series that was as close to flawless as one could realistically get. The plot was both extremely interesting and unique, and it didn't follow stupid trends like other series commonly do. You know what I mean. The one thing that gives everyone a headache. The Love-Triangle. I was sincerely hoping all throughout the series that one wouldn't show up, and we were blessed that this amazing series would remain untainted by a love-triangle. If only they weren't so common.I really hope that this author soon writes more young adult fiction, becsuse she definitely is great at it, and I would love to read more of her phenomenal writing. less
