review 1: I began with reading Jc Isabella with chase McCree and his time in florida coming back to Montana with his girlfriend and than went on to her novellas and was excited when this book came out. I wasn't disappointed. Dustin is wonderful and keeps up with the McCree characteristics of being a cowboy with a heart of gold. A young man who has been hurt and still loves the girl but trying to forget her. That is until she shows up again in town. Kate is the one who let go. Always one to protect fiercely the ones she loves and Dustin was no exception. She hurt him to protect himself and her heart. Protects her sister so that she can live a life. Or so she thought. this kind up and coming singer is threatened and in order to protect her family she runs to the last place she ever wa... morented to go back to-Montana and her past. Particularly Dustin. but that doesn't mean that she avoids being found out.found out by her friends and Dustin. When she is they all have this desire to help her even if they have no idea what they are trying to help her with. Dustin is the only one that can make her feel safe enough to tell her problems too. Dustin is sympathetic and does everything he can to help protect her. His love for her still strong and he wants her to see that they can be together and work on anything no matter what it is. in the meantime the danger gets closer and closer.this is a fun read. A quick read as well for the time flew by and soon I was at the end. a story about learning to let others in and allowing them to help you and letting yourself love again freely.
review 2: This is a pretty good YA book. I felt the characters were a little young for me to really relate with. Though this is a suspenseful story, I feel more of the book is focused on the relationships of the characters. It was well written, but I would have loved to see more of a focus on Kate having those around her help with the situation, than her trying to keep them all safe. This is certainly a sweet romance, and I feel it's a good read for any age. less
