review 1: Jamil is an Afghani who convert to the Christianity. Needless to say , this poses many difficulties in his life. He is imprisioned for his beliefs.Amy is a relief worker who works for women's rights. Steve is a special forces veteran. All three lives intertwine in a search for freedom and love.Windle is a good author. Her style is easy. I do wish though there was a glossary of sorts to explain Afghani words.

She brings this world of to life through her understanding of what it is like to work and live as a missionary in the "Hot Zones" of the world.This book, and actually both books in this series, are five-star quality. I would highly recommend picking up a copy of both Veiled Freedom and Freedom's stand to add to your collection of fine literature. less
