review 1: Frost's predicament for killing characters I like is rather frustrating but other than that, I appreciated that the arc came to a close and a new chapter can open up for Kat and Bones. It's vaguely annoying that the stories of Denise and Bones' grandsire come to be rather important in this novel but nobody ever said that those are a mandatory read. :/ Dear ms. Frost, we'd really like it if side novels stayed SIDE NOVELS. The end.
review 2: Still loving this series, but I also get the point that some other people are making that incorporating the spin-off books's plotlines into the main series creates terrible spoilers. I got part of the the way through reading some of the books when I'd suddenly hear about a previously unmentioned character and have to hunt do... morewn the other book to read before I continued. The problem was I already knew the outcome of that book before starting! It was kind of annoying, but I just love the whole world enough to forgive Frost for this (but only because all the ebooks were readily available when I needed them). less
