review 1: I think we are losing the characters.... I mean , the plot was ok, the action was pretty good, the story wasnot bad on its own, but thats not why we read The Night Huntress novels. right? We read it for Cat, her kick ass attitude, Bones, his sarcasm, their romance, the awesome side characters (Vlad!!) but did we really see those in this book? I dont think so! Where did Cat and Bones go?I am actually a little disappointed in this book. But like i said, the story itself, the action, not bad. And I loved the cover. This new model isn't far from our imaginary Cat.
review 2: Like every other book of hers, I LOVED IT!!!She really knows how to write, and amidst the gravity and seriousness of this evil-y stuff, there's those hilarious quips and funny banter to lighten ... morethe scene, and I absolutely loved it!The storyline was once again amazing, and I cannot get enough of Cat and Bones [especially Bones... or maybe Cat?]. He's so freaking hot and amazing, and she's the perfect protag. I love their coupling and they're perfect for each other... in the good way. [You always say, 'they're perfect for each other' when it's two bad people so...]Anyway, absolutely freaking amazing, and I'm dying to read the next one... yet at the same time, I hope I never actually get around to it cos I KNOW I'll cry heaps at the end of the series. [I think my tears are welling up just thinking about it...] I'm definitely going to re-read the series after I finish it... It just might take me a couple of years to get over the pain of it's end though...I think I'll go check out some of Jeaniene's other books... less
