review 1: I really liked the idea of this book. The whole futuristic world with a magical twist, I really wanted to like the book as a whole. However, I had trouble getting past my dislike of Glen. Though she does improve as a person at the end, for the most part her selfishness drove me crazy. Her first instinct is constantly to leave the magisterium to the devices of the colloquium just to get her life back. There were times I just wanted to reach in in strangle her. This included how she was with Kevin too; all she wanted was to run away as far as she could, which happened to be a planet thousands of lightyears away. Otherwise, though, I did like the book.
review 2: Magisterium, by Jeff Hirsch, is about a journey. This book takes place in the future on Earth. Glenn Mo
... morergan is a the protagonist of this book, Glenn is smart with mechanics, engineering, and technology. Glenn's mother left her and her father. Glenn's father is a engineer and inventor. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes science fiction stories that contain action and betrayal. If you like Magisterium, you may also like the Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness because that book to is a science fiction series that have lots of action and some betrayal. less

A fresh story with well woven words. A world divided by science & affinity. Authority ruling each.
