review 1: I would only recommend this book if you have read the first book by Jeff Hirsch, The Eleventh Plague. If you had read The Eleventh Plague, then I highly recommend it because it follows a lot of the kind of scene and story as the other book. I think the title is a great one because the path chosen is a very dark and unsettling plot and story line. My feelings towards the characters, plot, and ending of the book were mostly good. The story went together perfectly. Cal and his brother were forced to join the Glorious Path led by a former soldier of the United States who believed himself to be a prophet sent to start this "Glorious Path" and that it would be a solution to all problems. The ending was okay, but I very much expected more from this book. Overall, it was and amazi... moreng book, and I highly recommend it!
review 2: This book is very similar in feel to The Eleventh Plague, as might be expected. So my review for this one is very similar to my review for that one. I read this book very quickly. The one thing that made this one more engaging for me, compared to The Eleventh Plague, was the addition of a dog. Yes I'm aware that's not a stellar reason, but wanting to know if this dog ended up happy made me keep going, when otherwise I might have set it down and taken a break or something. less

Oddly realistic, creepily to close to home but couldn't put it down. Enjoyed it quite a lot.
