review 1: Dr. Bill Brockton of the Body Farm and his assistant are inn Avignon, France, secretly examining the ancient bones of a skeleton bearing the same wounds attributed to the crucifixion of Jesus. Things get serious as the pair become targets of someone. Other than the implications of falsehood against the crucifixion and the Shroud of Turin which indicate an anti-Christian bias similar to Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, it was an enjoyable read. Included in the book was a novella, "Madonna and Corpse", which introduces one of the novels characters.
review 2: Still managed to retain that element of mystery, and invent new and innovative ideas, despite writing about ground that has already been covered by a lot of writers. The beginning really grabbed me, but there was
... morea point when I reached the middle when I felt it begin to drag but I persevered, and was soon hooked once more! Intriguing, humourous, and written in a way that really captures the senses. less

Hmm. I think the authors have jumped the shark a wee bit with this one ...

More fun with Brockton and Lovelady.
