review 1: It is not the best written book, and it is juvenile in a way that you should expect from books written for teens. That said, it was a decent read. Dana's hormones are driving her crazy, and i would guess some readers as well, but trying to see her as a not very popular and really not experienced girl, i guess being overwhelmed by cute guys (or drop dead, traffic stoping gorgeous as some characters are described), might be understandable. The plot has a lot of potential, that i personally think was not used to its fullest. There are a lot of characters that i believe would rock if allowed to gain a little depth, as most are breezed though without letting them develop. Im finding it hard to review without spoilers, so the bottom line is: read if you are either a teen, a fan,... more or someone that wants very light reading and know you are reading something meant for teens.
review 2: Great book, about a strong welled teenage girl, who has taken care of herself all of her life, she lives alone with her alcoholic mom. She has never met her dad, he doesn't even know she exist, her mom has always kept her hidden from him. Until one day her mother show's up at her school recital drunk, Dana is so embarrassed, she decides she's had enough, she's tired of being the adult. She leaves her mother a note telling her she going to stay with her dad. That's when her life turns upside down. less
