review 1: Three things: 1) i love donuts(at least reading about them) 2) the series has spanned 17 books and Im curious with the anonymous writer as he/she is still churning out more 3) i actually guessed whodunit! I like Suzanne Hart, one of the stronger willed cozy heroines. Being divorced and living with your mom, running your own business is not as pathetic as it sounds. Interested to know more as I devour more of the series. Thanks Katie for introducing this! :)
review 2: Incredibly formulaic, lifeless characters who resist Suzanne's sleuthing at first, but always give in (irrationally) with a little prodding. Additionally, the women's character descriptions and their relationships with each other are defined by their appearances. For example, Suzanne is friends w... moreith her best friend, Grace, "despite" the fact that Grace is pretty and still has a youthful figure. This book was a complete waste of time--the novel version of reading Red Book or Woman's Day. less
