review 1: I adore these books based on popular reality tv with romance thrown in! They are super fun and a quick read! I love that Abby and Dean from the first book were in this one as well. I fell in Katy and her determination to hate Liam even though she couldn't. Liam was a great twist in Katy's life and in the race and seeing their relationship develop was great. I must say I really hated Brodie though and cannot believe a brother would treat a sister so callously! Ugh. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
review 2: This was an nice NA/YA book about a girl, Katy, who gets roped into partnering her brother on a reality TV show - one in which teams of two travel the world undertaking challenges. Each team has a theme - newly wed minor celebs, athletes, same-sex... more couple, major celebs, siblings etc.One of the teams is a guy and girl from a famous rock group. In an unfortunate incident at the start of the games the rock star, Liam, and Katy crash into each other trying to reach a ticket which allocates them pecking order for the first flight.When Katy and her brother win a joker he uses it to save the sexy rock chick and in a bizarre (and yet totally expected) twist the games organisers force the two teams to switch partners. Now Katy is paired with the surly tattooed Liam.One of the friendly contestants (the heroine of the first book) tells Katy that contestants who make good TV get an easier ride than others and that her watchwords should be does it make good TV? Katy also finds that, contrary to first impressions, Liam is actually a much better partner than her brother.The problem was, although the TV show was different (the first was a desert island type thing)the romance plot seemed very similar to the first in the series. less
