review 1: I received this from the author in exchange for an honest review:This was a very fast and fun YA read. With fairies, werewolves, and all kinds of fun creatures. It's full of romance, mystery, and suspense. I really liked all the characters in this. It switched POVs nearly every chapter, so it was fun to get insight into all of them. I really loved Kay and Kira. Kay never failed to make me laugh and I really liked how strong and determined Kira is. I saw the ending coming a mile away but it was still a really fun read. It does end on sort of a cliffy so you'll definitely want book 2 handy. I look forward to reading more in this series.
review 2: Editorial Review.First thing I have to say, which is a running joke now, is that I asked the author when she was go... moreing to send me more and she said, "That's it. That's all of it." My reaction: "NOOOOOO!!!! I need more! Now!" The book is that addicting. You just don't want the story to end. I loved this book. It builds up perfectly with girl meeting boy, weird happenings, finding things aren't as they appear, mystery, reveals, love story, riddles... The story builds up to the end and then leaves you wanting to get your hands on the next book. It's broken up into four POVs. Three of the POVs coincide with one story, while the fourth is separate, yet still a part of the general story. It really opens up the story so much more. You get to see the good versus evil sides of the story. Kay, Ryan and Nick have their own adventure going on, and then you meet Kira who is a very interesting character that I hope to see more of in the next book. I have my speculations about who she is and what's going on with her, and can't wait to find out if I was right in the next book!I loved that there weren't any fillers. The story progresses with each chapter giving you insight, action, adventure, clues, and love stories. less
