review 1: I'm sorry, I just...I really don't understand why this book is so highly rated. There were a lot of typos, and it obviously needed to be edited. Usually I'm not one to let typo's get in the way of a good story, but I didn't even find this a good story. It was just PWP. No plot. I mean, yeah there tried to be a plot, but it was just totally rolled over with all the sex and the bad writing. I had to stop two chapters in. I just couldn't deal with the writing anymore.
review 2: Really great concept for this story, although I think the author tries to pull off too much. The beginning of the book where Aquilla starts to realize what's going on with her father-who's-not-her-father, and wrestle with her feelings of attraction to her brother-who's-not-her-brother Juli
... moreus, is really engaging. The moment with Seri really was a surprise, as was Seri's role in the plot twist that followed. I really liked the beginning of Aquilla's relationship with Seri, as she tried to adjust to her new life, but the inherent conflict was wasted when the author hooks Seri up with another character. Similarly, the reappearance of Julius doesn't cause the waves it probably should. A really original, ambitious novel that doesn't quite cross the finish line. less

I loved that this book was long drawn out story, somewhat unbelievable but still a gripper.
