review 1: Eden is a high school senior who is mature for her age. She's dating a guy (Matt) that she's bored with and she's excited to graduate and get out of the immature high school party scene. When her new choir teacher walks into the room, her interest is peeked immediately. James, the new choir teacher, is starting his first year teaching high school and see's something special in Eden. Eden starts pursuing James, but James has his career on the line so he fights the temptation telling her that it would be inappropriate for them to even be friends. Despite James' voicing his concern about him and Eden being friends or together outside of school, Eden still shows up in his life here and there making it impossible to forget her. Eden was pretty inconsiderate at times and c... moreonceited. The way she handled the relationship with Matt was really insensitive. I thought her sudden change in attitude towards her friends and her feelings towards James were unrealistic. I would have liked to have heard James' POV. I sort of felt like we were teetering on the brink of the story's climax but never crossing over and feeling the high that comes afterward. I was into the story, but feel like it ended right when it started getting good. Then I saw that there's a book two and was slightly disappointed because I hate when the first book goes nowhere so you'll be forced to buy book #2.
review 2: I believe that everyone has a soul mate in the world and Eden and James are the perfect match. Of course when something seems "wrong" that sometimes makes people more driven to it. The age difference between the two characters is just a few years, absolutely nothing wrong with that and they're both legal. The problem is that he is her teacher and well she can't help but be drawn to him. Eden's not the only one though, she certainly isn't unattractive and she's not going unnoticed. There's an undeniable sexual tension on practically every page and you can't help but root for these two characters. less
