review 1: Trata-se de uma excelente introdução ao legado de Michael Porter. O livro por si só já é uma aula (ou um curso completo), mas o grande valor é que Joan destila os ensinamentos de Porter, trazendo-os para os dias de hoje, numa espécie de edição revisada da Teoria das 5 forças. Recomendo a todos aqueles que de alguma forma estejam envolvidos com estratégia ou que queiram entender porque algumas empresas se comportam como se comportam.

... morencepts and along with an interview with Porter himself, where he tackles a handful of difficult questions about his approach to strategy work. Both of these downplayed elements really help put the reader in touch with how Porter views the world. I'm actually motivated to re-read much of Porter's work on competitive strategy given how Margretta's book has tightened Porter's concepts for me. less
