review 1: This is book 5 in a 6-book series, and it's back to Mira's point of view. Mira (a rare fire-gifted vampire) gets a visit from her biological dad, who has all kinds of undesirable plans for her. She also has to go to the coven meeting, where she is manuvered by an enemy into cleaning out the Naturali (evil fairies) from Budapest. Of course it's a trap. She strengthens an alliance and she and Danaus finally do the deed after 4 books of him objecting because she's a vampire.
review 2: Back in Mira's point of view. I really like how she looks at things, but Jocelynn keeps killing the people who are important to her. It gives me a real sense that this series isn't going to end happily ever after. Which is a real shame because Mira deserves to be able to have happine... moress and peace, Jocelynn keeps her in constant danger by throwing new bad guys at her. And ever time she mows one down it seems like two more pop up in his/her place. less
