review 1: Much more than what I expected. Simple, elegant, and heartbreaking. I'm not that familiar with the Peter Pan story, and this made me feel terrible for Tiger Lily. At the same time, I couldn't hate the other characters. The thing is, no one is perfect in this story, and all the characters had to make some tough choices. I wish it hadn't ended where it ended, but I'm glad the author gave the readers some closure. Definitely feeling some book withdrawal after this story.
review 2: I cannot convey how much I loved this book. With so many re-tellingly of Peter Pan this one was by far the best. Some may squabble over details that have been changed from the original but that's the whole point of a re-telling. Someone else gets to write their own version of never land.... more The story was beautiful and horribly depressing but all the good ones are. Not for kids. Let them enjoy Peter in the normal way for now. I will read this again....after I've healed. less
