review 1: Just couldn't put it down (rather, stop listening). It's a great series. I love the characters, and the way they interact. I come from a small town, and I wish it had been as close as Harmony, Texas. It was good to grow up in a small town, but there are cons too. I suppose I found that the cons outweighed the pros, because I live in a bigger town now. But, I do miss the small town feel of slower paced life. Harmony, Texas seems to be an ideal place to be.
review 2: I received this book as a First Reads winner from Goodreads. This is the second book in Jodi Thomas' Harmony series. I didn't like this one as much as the first one. The characters didn't seem that interesting or developed. Also, there was one character, Denver, who supposedly is falling in lov... moree with another character and the whole "romance" just came across as creepy to me. Extremely unbelievable. I gave the book 3 stars because there are characters who returned from the previous book and I liked their storylines.(Reagan, Tyler) I also liked the storyline of Mrs. Biggs, who is a new character in this book. So, overall, just an OK book. I probably will read the rest of the series because I do want to know what happens, but I hope they are better books than this one. less
