review 1: A ride through a child's fantasy world as she tries to cope with her own depression, rage, and confusion. This book struck me close to the heart. I could relate to Barbara's disconnection with the world around her. She reminded me of a younger me, imagining fantastical being and living those adventures. This just isn't any other comic book fantasy story though. The story will make you tear at the end - with satisfaction, sadness, and happiness. I will be reading Barbara's story again soon.
