review 1: A word of empowerment and encouragement from Pastor Joel Osteen. The first sentence says there is a winner in you. He proceeds to give a synopsis that this book will present 8 principles to help reach one's potential.I've finally rented this book from the public library. In April, this year 2014, I saw a list of these eight principles in one of the media forms. Started to buy the book, but later passed. I did write down one particular principle that spoke to my need at the time and applied this to my life. Now, its nice to read all eight and apply those that will meet my needs.Although I seen Joel Osteen on television numerous times over the years and I adored his father's ministry, this is the first book of his that I have read.Common sense wisdom ran through out th... moree book. This book just reiterates walking in faith has key steps to achieve. Appropriate and a now message. Very much on time, especially in these last days we live. I recommend this book.
review 2: Osteen has a solid reputation for feeding one's spirit on empty and getting it back to where it's needed. Appreciating the fact that his latest message was free via audio version, I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson he conveyed. The eight steps and solid advice provided was just what the doctor ordered for anyone trying to make breakthroughs in 2015.Some of the best highlights in this book are enclosed in chapter three. Infact, I went back and replayed this chapter at least three times. We can always count on this man, as Dr Phil would say, to always assist us with getting excited about our life in general and every good thing it has to offer. less
