review 1: I'm not a very religious soul and perhaps not the target audience for a book written by a pastor. That said, I stumbled across this book on audible.com, listened to the sample and found myself feeling fired up! So, I bought and listened to the full book... I wasn't disappointed. It's fairly succinct, Osteen is a wonderful story-teller, and he narrates it himself with passion. The analogies and stories Osteen shares are compelling, and combined with his delivery, I found this audiobook to be very inspiring. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, and recommend it.
review 2: Joel Osteen always has a positive message whether it is in his sermons, podcasts or one of his best sellers. You Can You Will is no different. We all have dreams and some of us have... more tucked those dreams deep in our hearts. Joel Osteen encourages his readers not to give up and to believe in their own abilities. It is up to the individual to keep the dream in sight...to be true to themselves..have a positive outlook..constantly learn..always give your best. It saddens me to read that 50% of high school graduates never read a complete book after graduation and that mediocrity is so prevalent in today's society. We all have the power within ourselves to be a better person tomorrow than what we are today. Do not give up on your dreams! less
