review 1: A collection of short stories which include sequels to the novels 'Let the Right One In' and 'Handling The Undead' and also a prequel of sorts to 'The Harbour'. Linqvuist is great at creating a sinister and creepy mood and atmosphere in his writing as apposed to going for a gore fest, which he can also do expertly when required. The afterword and acknowledgements at the back of the book are well worth a read to discover where he gets his inspiration and how he writes. Also surprising to discover he's a big Morrissey fan !
review 2: I was a little dissapointed in the book because I had read so much positive comments about it. I found it really hard to emerge with the stories as they were so short and I didn't find them scary at all. Still I enjoyed some of the s... moretories such as; Border, Equinox (quite weird in a good way), Majken and the Final Processing.Despite my dissapointment I will read all of the other books written by John Ajvide Lindquist soon. And this time I will read them in their original language. less
