review 1: The Wolf in Winter is the twelfth installment of John Connolly’s Charlie Parker series. After the death of a homeless man, who was trying to find his missing daughter, Parker is drawn into investigating the town of Prosperous. Prosperous lives up to its name, but the townfolk are very protective and loyal to their hometown, for good reason. As usual, Parker’s investigation sets him at odds with all kinds of bad people. The headlong race to the explosive finale is well worth the ride. If you are new to the Charlie Parker series, it is probably best to start at the beginning, or at least earlier in the series.
review 2: I really love John Connolly and the Charlie Parker series and am always waiting with baited breath for the next installment. I enjoyed ... morethis latest book however I do have to say that I lost interest a little in one part of it but am glad I persevered as it picked up again and finished well. I really enjoy the characters, good and bad, and Connolly is very descriptive about the surroundings and history of a particular place. I look forward to the next one. less
