review 1: Another good book in the Charlie Parker series. I love the mixture of styles in John Connolly books. Crime mixed in with horror and the paranormal. The characters are all well written and I love all the recurring people that are in every book along with Charlie himself. I would recommend this series for anyone who's looking for something just a little bit different to the usual crime/private eye books.
review 2: I was halfway through this book before it felt like a charlie parker novel. It seems to be on a crusade for soldiers suffering post traumatic stress disorder, as it seems to mentioned at every opportunity. However, once the story finally kicks in its charlie parker of old, complete with supernatural episodes. We meet the collector again and get another ... moretwist in parkers own story. Just who, or what , is he? Fans of these books stick with it, you will enjoy the ending. less
