review 1: A beautiful story of forgiveness and redemption. I actually give this one 4.5 stars which is rare for me. While the plot device is predictable, the writing and the characters make up for it--I still found myself on edge, routing for Squirt and Gordon to get a happy ending. My only minor criticism is that for me, the love scenes didn't fit with the tone of the book. They were definitely hot--don't get me wrong--but maybe a little too explicit given the "sweet" nature of the budding romance up until that point. Overall, a very satisfying read.
