review 1: listened to it on cd. might have been better if i was actually reading it. I was frustrated with the book. I did not like the Sara, the fiance. She seemed young, annoying, and naive. She whined and complained and seemed to make situations more difficult. I wanted to slap her. There were many parts during the book that I wanted to skip through because it seemed so typical, and I could have guessed what was happening. The ending was terrible, leaving you questioning what happens next. I hate endings like that, it leaves it unfinished, and even if I liked the story, I dont end up liking the book because of the unfinished/terrible ending. blah.
review 2: Really enjoyed this one and found it very hard to put down so it only took a couple of days to read. Tremendous ... moreat creating a scary atmosphere of dread and impending doom for the lead characters. Almost 5 stars but while I enjoyed the ending, I would have preferred the story to finish at the creepy motel where it was set and found the Part III tagged on the end slightly unsatisfactory. Will definitely search out other books by this author though and the proposed movie of the book should definitely be worth seeing. less
