review 1: Another Amazon Prime freebie, so I had not read the first book in Jimmy Veeder series, although I never felt that I was missing out on any pre-established narrative. This read a lot like an 80's action movie, along the lines of Lethal Weapon style buddy story I'd say, only with a southwest setting. The dialog was chocked full of humor, which several had me literally LingOL. The story moves at a nice pace, and while some of the character development felt rushed I guess it could be touched on in future books. A clever twist kept the story from being over-cliche'd. An enjoyable book, but not one I'd read again.
review 2: I received Plaster City by Jimmy Shaw as a First-reads giveaway winner. Plaster City is a fast paced story about two long-time friends, Jimmy and
... more Bobby, who's mission is to find and bring home Bobby's 16 y.o., estranged runaway daughter. It is an action packed adventure/fiasco. The characters are well developed & I could not put the book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers that may or may not usually read this genre and I will definitely read other books written by this author. less

This book was fast paced and action packed, but more of a "guy's book" than ones I usually read.

I am enjoying these stories. Crazy out of control situations and people.
