review 1: A collection of short stories by Katz, the "dog author." The stories mostly center around people - people who love animals (mostly dogs) and whose lives have been impacted greatly by them. Although I don't usually like short stories that much (I prefer the commitment of a novel, as well as the growth that can occur for a character over more pages), I found this to be a very enjoyable & touching collection. Only one story left me kind of "cold" out of the dozen plus. A couple of them made me a little misty, seeing the positive impact animals can have on their humans!

She is an amazing author and I plan to read more of h... moreer books. Looking at life through the eyes of a dog is quite interesting. I highly recommend this book to all animal lovers, not just those of dogs. Now I wonder what Monte, my black lab is thinking all the time and what his life is like when noone is looking...???!! less
