review 1: Es de los libros que más me ha costado decidir si me ha gustado o no. Tiene cosas muy buenas, como son todas las reflexiones sobre el ser humano y la gran imaginación de Jonathan Carroll en describir todo el entramado que nos encontramos.Pero, no sé a qué viene el título del libro. Creo no le hace ninguna justicia a la historia. Yo esperaba una trama muy distinta a la que me he encontrado. Los personajes están muy logrados y me encantan todos, es otro de los puntos fuertes del libro.Ya me estaba gustando la locura hasta que he leído las 3 últimas páginas y me he quedado muerta...No entiendo a qué viene ese final. Digo yo que te invita a reflexionar, pero a mí me ha dejado con mal sabor de boca.Le he puesto más de 20 marcadores al libro. Lo más probable es que ... morevuelva a leerme todas esas partes que marqué o quizás algún día lo relea entero para ver si así lo entiendo mejor. De momento se lleva 3 estrellas.
review 2: I've read every published Jonathan Carroll book since encountering The Marriage of Sticks some years back. The seamless way in which he joins dreams and reality could be called fantasy, but I rather consider it a different, hypnotic presentation of how we live our lives and how our minds actually operate. Consider the few moments in morning when you wake, often with a dream fresh in your mind -- a moment of what you might call augmented reality. That's Carroll's territory and I find it an irresistible place to revisit whenever he turns out a new book,His earlier novels often take a nightmarish turn toward the end, as if he himself was frightened by the worlds he was exploring. The later ones are mellower,kinder to his characters and I find it interesting that some readers dislike this -- I kind of view it as the author becoming more comfortable with his own imagination, which is just as powerful as ever. I didn't want this one to end, so hoarded it and parceled out the chapters like a bag of Halloween candy. If you're a fan of Carroll's, don't miss this one -- if you're not yet, for heaven's sake get started. You could do worse than to start here. less

The title of this book does not really describe the book....it has a little bit of a plot line about a ghost in love but otherwise it is a book about humans taking charge of their lives and not dying when their time has come.It was actually a very funny book with a bunch of fleeting bizarre characters that were each very quirky and entertaining. Ben and German are very likable characters, and Pilot the dog is wonderful...It is a pretty complex story so you really should pay attention but you will be rewarded with snarky comments and remarks that will tend to make you chuckle......the story will also get you caught up in thinking about what exactly was the most prolific and important moment in your life....the one you favor the most....then deciding if you would actually want to stay in that moment forever. If you are looking for a story about a ghost that is in love or a paranormal romance....this really isn't that type of book. If you are looking for some very funny moments with some crazy people and animals.....then this is the book for you. I ended up enjoying this book much more than I thought I would.

The book is a great book to read i got it form the author and then here you got a ghost she is in love a man she meet but she is dead and great cook she love someone who she can not have but accident happen and then she see the other people in the house and strange thing happens in the book.She love the man of her dream but she can not have him he is in love some one else and then the story is great and will keep you wanted to read and find out what happen in the book and why ghost come and go and then you see you love the book till the endi got the book form the author and then i read and will blog on it posted on amazon and all my sites and good reads and then on bn
