review 1: This book is a great piece of evidence as what makes the Ultimate Marvel Universe great! Jonathan Hickman and Carlos Pacheco create a tale of Thor’s past that fits into everything we’ve read in Ultimates but is still riveting. There are multiple plot twists and great reveals. Hickman’s versions of Loki and Thor are fantastic, especially Loki. Pacheco’s redesign of the Asgardians is really well done. Overall this is a great book with the only drawback being that new readers might not get the importance as where this book falls into the previous Ultimate books.
review 2: It seems a lot of people didn't like that this really spelled out in stone who and what Ultimate Thor is. I for one was not bothered by that at all, because if read in even slightly
... more chronological order you should be reading this after Ultimates 2 where it is made VERY damn clear he is indeed a god.Moving beyond that I really enjoyed the art work, I really enjoyed the multi-thred stories going on in different times and places that all come together, and I really liked seeing all the holes from his appearances in Ultimates filled in. less

Outstanding. Side note: Nazi cultists make everything creepier.
