review 1: Sadie Hoffmiller just keeps growing on me. This story is her first real paying investigative case thanks to some very unsavory press. Making up her mind, Sadie flies to Portland. She won't give up until she finds out the truth--and this is difficult after hurting her benefactor, May, in such a way as to alienate her. Listing several suspects, I wasn't prepared for the true killer. I'm not sure whether I liked the story or the recipes more. These I really want to try.
review 2: It was interesting enough to keep me turning pages. I like that its all full of recipes, and I really want to try some of them out. But, overall it just wasn't my cup of tea. The heroine spends a lot of time thinking about her relationship with her boyfriend, which was a little bor
... moreing to me, and I thought she was wimpy to get pushed around by her client so much and to be so worried about her feelings. I guess she was insecure b/c it was her first real case. The surprise was pretty good though. less
