review 1: this book just confused me. there was so much description about unimportant things. details that were not needed in the book. Aiden was just ridiculous because I didn't know anything about him except he traveled a lot and worked hard. I felt no connection between them, I spent the whole book wondering why she was in love with him. It was only after they started having sex that maybe she thought that was something? then at the end he professes his love and I'm like what love? they barely had conversations about their relationship or anything substantial! It just pissed me off incredibly. I really hope the other stories are better. It really felt like the author was tired of writing and just putting unnecessary things into it... like about every step they ... moretake!
review 2: This was not one of Garwood's stronger efforts. The title led me to believe that it might involve racing in some way, or at least high-powered business transactions, but the plot did not seem related to the title at all. The book started with a flashback, which reintroduced characters from previous books, but other than the long-standing crush, the current-day plot seemed unrelated to the back story. The worst aspect by far, though, was the stilted dialog, which seemed as if it was written by someone's prim granny. less
