review 1: While I absolutely loved the first book, the best chapter in this book was the first one. While the story did progress, a lot of the thought processes of the main character was dominated by rehashing the first book which took focus away from the current action. It FELT like every time the story was moving forward that was another opportunity to explain what happened in the last book. STill looking forward to the next book.
review 2: Actual rating: 4.75 stars.I never knew Julie Kagawa had it in her.Yes, the Iron Fey characters aren't exactly a bunch of harmless, friendly creatures but Blood of Eden characters (especially Allison) have reached another level of badassery. And I don't think I came across a post-appocalyptic/dystopia world as dark, as gritty and as
... moretwisted as the one that Kagawa has created. In fact, I'm not even sure if this can still be considered as a YA book. Too much violence and gore LOL! less
