review 1: I was desperate for an audio book for my car when I picked this book up at the library. I did not know it was Christian fiction until I looked it up later on and I almost returned it without listening. I didn't because in the past I have read a Christian fiction book or two that weren't too preachy so I decided to give this one a try. It was a good book and I would put it as *barely* Christian romance, the majority of the genre wasn't even noticed until the end of the book. Good book, pretty good on audio but kinda slow. ... moreis one, as the author writes with flavor and inspiration from several of Austen's classic works, especially from my personal favorite "Persuasion" of which Captain Bryant of this story was inspired after the wonderful Captain Wentworth. The author of this book weaves a story involving many colorful characters of whom I have loved getting to know. Will be looking into more by this author. less
