review 1: This was definitely a case of "don't judge a book by its cover". Or in this case, its title. I had read the synopsis of The Angel Stone and thought it sounded intriguing. But when I got it from the library, I realised it was the third book in a series and I usually like to read a series in the order it was intended, but when I saw the title of the first book, I was very uncertain about it. I gave it a try anyway and I am so glad I did. I love Gothic novels and this book had all the elements I love about them, an old house, mysterious man, great heroine, etc... It also boasted some pretty vivid, beautiful writing and (no pun intended) it sucked me right in. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to reading the next book.
review 2: I love, love, loved this ... morebook.Where I went on holiday, the pool had a book corner. It was in that bookcase I found a copy of this book. I was hooked from the title, and I just loved how so many different paranormal beings were woven into the plot.This is a fantastic book for anyone who loves paranormal novels. This is certainly up there with one of the best that I have read in this category. less
