review 1: I received this book through Goodreads First reads and although I'm not a huge fan of thrillers I enjoyed it. Kramon has a style to his writing fitting for this genre. The details and his voice made me uncomfortable and on edge throughout the entire reading. I almost couldn't read it and found myself walking away from the book multiple times, but I decided to push on and am really glad I did. The Preservationist is a fast read that provides a glimpse into the world of a serial killer. The twists and turns continue to the very last sentence! I recommend this to lovers of thrillers and suspense. This book will be a delight for you!
review 2: Justin Kramon's novel THE PRESERVATIONIST is the story of eighteen-year-old Julia Stilwell, a college freshman deali
... moreng with the physical and psychological aftermath of a recent personal tragedy. Soon, two men enter her life vying for her attention – fellow classmate Marcus Broley, and forty-year-old Sam Blount. As she teeters on relationship with the two, violent events begin unfolding at the University, and Julia finds herself in a situation where she's not sure whom she can trust. The characters and story are well developed, and the book well written. The alternating viewpoints gave insight into each of the characters. I give a strong recommendation for this book. less

Very easy to read. Good development, but it falls apart a little in the last quarter.
