review 1: This was a fun romp by a great sci-fi writer. She was taken from us much too soon. This book is related to Baker's Company series, but not really a sequel. It centers on the female "leg" of the GSS - a house of ill-repute called Nell Gwynne's. But...this is not your ordinary house of ill-repute! :) Who but Kage Baker could make this really work? I love her wit and sense of humor and this book is dripping with it.

... morele people in the world. It's a fun romp, just don't take it too seriously or expect too much. The world isn't described in copious amounts of detail, the mystery isn't earth shattering, but it's still enjoyable to read, and quick. less
