review 1: It was an okay book. I felt like I was skimming cause honestly some times it was boring and dragged out. This book needs some more details and characterization. Three guys are obsessed with one girl cause she is hot and nice. It just seems kind of stupid. Yeah the brothers had some history with her, but some stuff doesn't add up. Nate completely ignored Summer, all these years and now he says he is secretly in love with her. Drew and Rachel could see how Summer looked at him, yet he still ignored her. The love by three guys is a stretch. I enjoy the plot of the book, but sometimes I get irritated by the sappy romance of it all and how Summer can never make up her mind.
review 2: I absolutely adore this series!! Kailin really knows how to write great love stori... morees!!Summer has taken on alot with the Academy since her Aunt passed away. Not only that, she has to deal with that backlash of being the girlfriend of an up and coming Hollywood star, Astor. Summer is torn between Astor and the Donovan brothers - Nat and Drew. She has such strong feelings towards all of them, but all of them different. Things with her and Astor are becoming tough since he is always away filming. Nat has denied his feelings towards Summer this whole time and is now hoping to win her feelings back. However, he knows that right now he can't be there for her with everything else going on in his life. Drew has always loved Summer and has never hid his feelings from Summer, but he knew that Summer always crushes on Nat. Now that Drew will be back in Malibu and attending the same college as Summer, will he be able to win her affections and finally get her??All three men want nothing but for Summer to feel safe after she starts receiving mean and threatening letters. Then the academy is vandalized and almost burned down. Astor, Nat and Drew all have their own plans to keep her safe and away from the spot light.Kailin does a great job of writing this book from 3 different POV's. It's nice seeing how Summer, Nat and Drew perceive the different scenarios and how the react to them. It's not easy writing from 3 different POV's and keep the story moving and entertaining. Kailin does a fantastic job and makes you feel for each of them.I am really thrilled that the next book will be out very soon!!! I am not sure I can wait too long to see what happens with this love square! :)I am absolutely thrilled that there will be a Donovan series now too. These two boys are just to die for!! They both have a great qualities about them and are both very attractive. I know that this series will be very entertaining! less
