review 1: This was a pretty good freebie that I've had and hadn't read yet. I liked the characters and the story. There was suspense, emotions, a little action, some tense moments, steamy scenes, and a good ending. I wouldn't mind reading this again and would look forward to reading more in this series. I held my breath a little, wanted to ka-pow a few times, got a little warm and pretty much enjoyed reading this. This had me turning pages pretty good too, although not exactly like a hurricane. A great deal for me and good for a snuggle-in, cuddle-up, get your blood pumping a little read. Enjoy!
review 2: Job Burke is a CIA operative who has come to apprehend Richard Patterson and his accomplice Dr. Eve Collins of developing and marketing a chemical weapon. Patterson di... morees suddenly and Eve is left on her own to handle the fallout. Eve maintains she is innocent of developing the weapon and doesn't know who the buyer is. Burke doesn't believe Eve to be innocence and when someone tries to kill her, he suspects she has an accomplice/buyer who has turned on her. IMPOSTER has a good story line and very good character development. Burke's character was well written and believable until the part that he couldn't seem to control his attraction to Eve any longer. OK, I get that he's a man and HAS TO have sex with Eve, but I expected his CIA training to have kicked in and prevented him from acting on his desires. It made sense to me that Eve went along with his plan since she "knew" she was innocent and didn't have a problem with acting on her feelings for Burke.Having Richard die by heart attack didn't flow for me since he was fairly young. Having him die early in the book sure did help with the suspense though.This is a good book and I do recommend it. less
