review 1: Sid is now my favorite of all the warriors. I was worried about reading his story, I loved him as a side character full of jokes and humor. When we read from his pov, he's still full of charisma. I loved it. I even loved Lana. She was interesting, and STRONG. But I do have to say, at this point in the series, I am getting worried about the number of SERIOUS INCONSISTIANCES in the story. Why is Sid able to feed from Lana? When none of the other warriors were able to drink the blood of their mates, why all of a sudden can Sid? What the hell is up with that? I don't like how Jared and Tessa's story is continued to be messed up because of her still human status and his refusal to feed off her... so what the hell is Sid doing? Am I the only one who caught and is suuuuper confus... moreed by this?Although this book was awesome, I do believe this is the point where the scales are starting to tip into the 'to much going on with side characters/plot lines', it NEARLY took the attention of the reader away from the main characters of the story.
review 2: I absolutely loved this book! I was fortunate enough to read and review the previous books in this series and loved every one of them and I was not disappointed with this one. The characters were wonderful and entertaining and the story line had me from page one.Sid and Lana are similar in a lot of ways. They’re both snarky, protective, sarcastic, and funny. Sid is the ultimate sexy alpha vampire. He’s a VC Warrior and protective of the people he cares about. Lana is a police officer and can speak with the dead. I loved the personalities of both characters. Their witty sarcasms had me laughing.They story line was interesting and drew my in. I was easily absorbed by the world of the VC Warriors and their group of friends and family from the very first book and it has only grown throughout the series. The characters were fun and I’ve definitely found myself totally invested in they wellbeing. 5 out of 5 stars! less
