MacLean Curse
review 1: I was excited to get my hands on this one, as the first two books were really good. However, the characters are not interesting/human/possibly-soon-to-be-likeable enough to care enough to keep reading, and having belatedly read a review revealing how the "hero" lashes out at the "heroine", using his curse to physically torment her, with no apology, I'm not pulled to try and see what happens. Also, the twin sister is vacant, shallow, and childish to extremes, which irritated me off the bat, and also means I won't be reading the next book either. Disappointed.
review 2: In the past I have read other books from these writer, but that is some time ago. I only realised it because this book is one of a series and I remember some of Hugh’s brothers stories. Funny
... more how the romance between Hugh and Catriona starts. They both want to protect their family member, but ended up with each other and caught. So they have to get marries. In this marriage the bedroom action is from the beginning ok, but outside the bedroom they aren’t a couple at all. But that changes during the book. less

passagenweise etwas langwierig und die eine oder andere szene grenzenlos übertrieben geschildert.
